The Corda outdoor bench answers a functional brief in an elegant way. Intended to sit permanently outside, it needed to be durable, comfortable, self-cleaning and not require dismantling and reassembly. The rope and stainless-steel construction offers the perfect solution to these requirements. The design is distilled down to the essential elements without the reliance of cushions or upholstery.
Inspired by a rope chair designed by Poul Kjaerholm, the resulting design is intentionally low and streamlined. The simple sculptural form has a delicate aesthetic and is incredibly comfortable.
